Learn Everywhere is a program designed to build on existing New Hampshire educational philosophy, law, and rule. At its most basic level, it is simply seeing and understanding our existing public education system and the learning that engages students, from another perspective.
For Students
Credits Toward Graduation
To obtain graduation credits earned through a Learn Everywhere program, students must submit completed certificates to their school. To ensure that every New Hampshire public school student has equal opportunity to obtain Learn Everywhere credits, all schools must allow a student to earn up to 1/3 of his or her required graduation credits through the Learn Everywhere program. Schools may, but are not required to, accept as much as 100 percent of credits required for high school graduation.
Eligible Students
The Learn Everywhere program was conceived and created to expand learning opportunities for New Hampshire public school students. As such, only students enrolled in a New Hampshire public school can earn Learn Everywhere credits.
FAQs
What is the Learn Everywhere program?
Learn Everywhere is a program designed to capture the learning that is already taking place through student participation in programs outside of school. Learn Everywhere creates a pathway for students to apply that learning toward meeting the minimum standards for graduation established by the State Board of Education (SBOE).
How do I receive credit?
Students who complete a Learn Everywhere program will receive a certificate with a grade from the participating program. This certificate will be provided to the student’s school by the student so that credit can be awarded.
Is my after school program, sports league, classes or instructor part of the program?
Approved programs are listed above and new programs are being added every month. Make sure to ask your after school program, sports league or instructor if they are Learn Everywhere Approved. The application is free and once approved, you can earn credit for the learning you are already doing!
For Providers
Learn Everywhere offers a parallel path for course approval, allowing anyone who wishes to offer courses to New Hampshire students with the ability to apply to the State Board of Education, which approves and oversees all New Hampshire public schools.

FAQs
What is the Learn Everywhere program?
Learn Everywhere is a program designed to capture the learning that is already taking place through student participation in programs outside of school. Learn Everywhere creates a pathway for students to apply that learning toward meeting the minimum standards for graduation established by the SBOE.
Is there a fee to submit an application?
No, it is free for your program to apply.
Do I need to change my existing program?
No, Learn Everywhere seeks to capture the learning that is already taking place at your existing program.
Do our instructors need to be credentialed?
No. The SBOE and New Hampshire public schools have a long-established policy that is reflected in both law and regulation to accept educational credit from non-certified teachers. There is no requirement for teachers in either private or home education settings to be certified. Learn Everywhere captures the essence of state minimum education standards which state that we should “harness all available community resources.” Learn Everywhere creates a framework to engage experienced workers in their respective professions, such as engineers teaching our students about engineering, math and physics, artists engaging students on the stage and in the studio, and entrepreneurs opening up the world of business to students.
My program charges a fee to students to participate. Are we still eligible?
Yes. The SBOE has a long and established policy to permit families and students to access private educational options. Thousands of New Hampshire families pay tuition to private schools, affording those students access to a private school option that is not universally available to all New Hampshire students simply because of financial limitations. Many of the programs that might become available to students through this program are offered for free or at reduced rates. In many Learn Everywhere cases, programs are readily available to families in need of financial resources or are offered on a sliding scale based on capacity to pay. This includes programming through organizations like Boys and Girls Clubs, Girls, Inc. and through many of our public school after-school programs.
How does the Learn Everywhere affect school funding?
Learn Everywhere does not affect school funding. Schools will continue to be funded under the current formulas. Learn Everywhere does not require the school to create any new programs or administrative supports. Students who complete a Learn Everywhere program will receive a certificate with a grade from the participating program. This certificate will be provided to the student’s school by the student so that credit can be awarded.
